Dedicated hardware

Mixing with a computer really opens up a new world of possibilites for your mixes, but if you want to keep the 'touch and feel' of a real djing experience, you'll surely want to equip yourself with some dedicated hardware to serve as a remote for the software.
The list of compatible hardware is long, but if you are new to digital mixing, we particularly recomend Numark products, since Atomix Productions and Numark have been working hand in hand to build the future digital DJs.
Or, if you want to keep an hybrid solution, you can also use special 'Timecode' vinyls or CDs, and play them with your regular turntable/CD player.

Other software

Beside the standard Virtual DJ Professional version, VirtualDJ also comes in different flavors.
Some, like Numark's CUE or VirtualVinyl, share the exact same engine as VirtualDJ, but come through different distribution channels.
